Find Lawn Care and Landscape Contractors
The HMNDP directory to find lawn care contractors and landscape professionals ranks vetted, licensed, insured operators by city and state across all 50 states. We do not take referral fees. Ranking weights what actually matters: state licensing, applicator certification, customer review depth, and operational track record.
The short version
- Lawn care and landscape contractor directory across all 50 states
- Vetting: state license, insurance, applicator certification (chemical-application states)
- Specialization tags: lawn care, landscape design, hardscape, irrigation, tree care, organic, drought
- No referral fees, no pay-to-play rankings
- City pages for the 30 largest metros, expanding to 100 by Q4 2026
- State-level overviews of licensing, bonding, and applicator requirements
Why this directory exists
The other directories (Yelp, Angi, Thumbtack, HomeAdvisor, LawnStarter) all take referral fees from the contractors they rank. That structurally biases their ranking. We do not.
Our directory ranks contractors by operational quality: state license verification (active, not lapsed, matching the service categories advertised); workers comp and general liability insurance verification (current certificate on file); pesticide applicator certification where the service requires chemical application (Category 3A Turf and Ornamental in most states); customer review aggregation across Google, Yelp, BBB, and direct interviews on featured contractors; and operational track record (years in business, employee count, service area definition).

For contractors
To be featured in the directory, your operation needs to clear our five-layer vetting (state license, insurance, applicator cert, customer reviews, operational longevity). The featured slot is paid; the underlying ranking is not. See our methodology page for the full vetting process. Contact partners@hmndp.org.
